Located off Highway 101 at E. Betteravia Rd. behind Pappy’s restaurant, Darensberries are available from February through October. DB Specialty Farms, also known as Darensberries, produce some of the Santa Maria Valley’s best strawberries. With 700 acres of berries galore, Darensberries are consistently rated the top quality in the entire industry.
Santa Maria is centrally located, about 170 miles north of Los Angeles and 270 miles south of San Francisco, making it an ideal stop on a Highway 1 adventure. Highway 1 is a scenic drive, taken northward it leads you through several small towns eventually connecting with 101 just past Pismo Beach.
