Check with your hotel for Wine Trolley packages. Santa Maria Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA): The Central Coast’s most historic wine lives in the Santa Maria Valley. Our AVA has the oldest appellation in the area and nearly two centuries of experience in growing grapes. We’re especially known for our Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and the casual environments where they are served. National Geographic recently named Santa Maria as one of the 25 happiest cities in the US and we have a sneaking suspicion why; because we take life with a grain of salt, we believe our finest pinot is best paired with blue jeans, and above all, we treat our visitors like family. While we’re proud that the caliber of our wine prompted the Travel Channel to name Santa Maria Valley one of the top 10 cities for wine snobs, you should know, going in, we aren’t the type that sips with our pinkies in the air. Come as you are, and experience the fun and casual Santa Maria Valley Wine Country for yourself.
Pismo Beach Just 20 minutes from Santa Maria, Pismo Beach is known as the last frontier for off-Roaders with the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Park offering 20 square miles of pristine Dunes in which you can drive, camp, ride your ATV’s (or any vehicle). You can drive onto the beach and dig a fire pit for a […]
Central West Produce Family-grown on the Central Coast since 1979, Central West Produce grows some of the area’s finest berries including strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries, or what they call a “berry triple threat”.
Black Bear Diner The goal of every Black Bear Diner is to deliver scrumptious food in a friendly environment. We promise to make your visit a pleasant one, and we’ll try to keep the puns to a bear minimum (we said “try”).
The Monarch Butterfly Groves Catch a glimpse of some of California’s largest monarch butterfly groves in Pismo Beach and Nipomo. It’s a scene worth flocking to. Every year, thousands of orange and black Monarch Butterflies spread their wings, seeking shelter from the northern winters. From late October to February, the butterflies cluster in the limbs of a grove of […]
