The Santa Maria Valley is an acclaimed wine-growing region, and one of six federally recognized American Viticultural Areas (AVA) within Santa Barbara County, which encompasses one of the top wine regions in the world. Indulge in the 150-year old Santa Maria Style barbecue tradition that is the area’s best hidden gem. Watch the sunset over the dunes, and let your hair fly around in the ocean breeze. Sunset Magazine deemed Santa Maria the town with the West’s Best BBQ. Let your cup runneth over with locally crafted beer, a growing scene in the Central California Coast region.

With 28 restaurants, 6 unique AVAs, 34 tasting rooms, and a growing selection of local breweries, you’ll find that the Santa Maria Valley is the perfect home base, where you can eat, drink and do more for less.
