Our wintering ducks will be back!  Ruddy Ducks, Northern Shovelers, Blue Winged Teal, Cinnamon Teal and others are almost a certainty.  Other winter visitors may include Sora, Townsend’s Warblers and Yellow Rumped Warblers, among others.  We also will be towards the end of Fall Migration so just about anything is possible.  Bring your binoculars, cameras and spotting scopes, if you have them.  If you don’t, the Dunes Center has a few binoculars available to borrow.  We also may get lucky on some of the Oso Flaco mammals including muskrats and raccoons.  Two years ago, this nature walk was blessed with numerous near shore Gray Whale activity.  Finally, Snowy Plovers are almost always seen on these trips.  So bring your family and friends.  Watch the weather report as it may be cool this time of year.  See you there!
