VINTAGE 2014: Revisited

For the first time ever, join the stars of “VINTAGE 2014” for an outdoor vineyard screening of the film series with tastings of the 2014 wines featured in the film.

In 2014, a film crew spent eight months in the vineyards of Santa Barbara County, experiencing the roller coaster of events that can make or break a vintage for winemakers. The series of short films went on a year-long screening tour throughout the United States, accompanied by live wine tasting intermissions. The crowdfunded project, which brought the vineyards of Santa Barbara County to a national audience, won multiple awards including Best New Media at the New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles.

This screening and tasting event will take place at a private location in the middle of Riverbench Vineyard that was the backdrop to many scenes, including an awe-inspiring time-lapse of grapes ripening on the vine.

Winemakers in attendance will include Jonathan Nagy of Byron Winery, along with Bill Wathen and Dick Dore from Foxen Winery, who will be pouring their 2014 Bien Nacido Block 8 Pinot Noir. The recently-released wine, featured prominently in the VINTAGE 2014 film series (albeit as grapes on the vine) received 95 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
