Music at the Library

The Santa Maria Philharmonic’s annual Youth Showcase is a recital by audition for classical musicians ages 8 to 18, and takes place Saturday, January 17th, 2026 @ 3pm at Shepard Hall in the Santa Maria Public Library.

Don’t miss this enjoyable event for the public, giving a taste of what a future generation of musicians might look like and showing a bright future for classical music performance on California’s Central Coast. Youth Showcase is part of the Santa Maria Philharmonic’s educational concerts and events programming, which also includes the Family Concert, the Children’s Concerts, the Music Van Program and the After School Strings Program.

Auditions (closed to the public) are for serious musicians ages 8 to 18 and will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Applications are due December 8, 2025. For more information and an audition form, please visit the website at https://smphilharmonic.org/youth-showcase/
