The 6th Annual OCAF Chalk Festival

On Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., the streets of Historic Old Town Orcutt will be filled with beautiful color and live performing art as the Orcutt Children’s Art Foundation, Inc. holds its 6th Annual OCAF Chalk Festival. Art lovers young and not so young will all delight in this street festival as they watch art come alive on the street, listen to and watch stage performers, partake in food and drink and visit our children’s area for hands on art experiences.

In the spirit of 16th century Italian street painting, amateur and emerging artists along with  professional artists will be creating masterpieces on South Broadway and on the walkways and portions of Union Avenue. Back by popular demand is our feature Chalk Festival Artist, Ever Galvez. New this year is our Public Muralist and Artist, Ruben Espinoza. The festival is free with an additional cost for the Children’s PasspARTS. The PasspARTticket gives a child a box of chalk, their own square at the event and entrance to the childrens hands on section featuring interactive art experiences.

Direct proceeds and event sponsorships help support art, music, drama, in the OUSD schools k-12 for close to 5500 students. Several sponsorship opportunties are available and we are seeking artists and artisans as well.
