Virtual Downtown Fridays & Concerts In The Park
The LAST Downtown Fridays and Concerts in the Park of the year takes place this Friday, November 28th, and will broadcast live bands over 8 Facebook pages; Including Mega Hits 97.1, DowntownFridays, and City Santa Maria Rec & Parks. English Bands will play from 6 – 7 pm and Spanish Bands will play from 7 – 8 pm. You will also be able to pick up food from a number of Downtown Fridays Food trucks spaced throughout the Downtown from Alvin to Cook Streets Friday from 5 – 8:30 pm. This Friday we will feature the Mestizo Band!
Elks Recreation: Christmas In The Country
Elks Recreation invites you to join their first Annual “Christmas in the Country” this Holiday season at the Elks Event Center from November 27th – January 3rd. Visitors will embark on a drive through magical holiday light experience at the Elks Event Center with displays presented by local businesses and families. Children will also have the opportunity to put their letters to Santa in Santa’s mailbox for delivery!
“The Christmas Gift” | PCPA Reads @Home for the Holidays
Dr. Francisco Jiménez, award-winning author of “The Circuit,” will join us on Facebook Live on December 1st at 1:00 pm! He and PCPA alum, Christian Arteaga, will read his poignant, biographical story about a migrant child who discovers the gift of love in “The Christmas Gift.” This book will be read in Spanish and English.

Santa Maria Fairpark: Festival of Lights and Jingle Mingle Holiday Market
The Santa Maria Fairpark and the Santa Maria Fairpark Foundation will be hosting its inaugural Festival of Lights Holiday Event and second annual Jingle Mingle Holiday Market this year from December 4th – 6th, along with Food trucks – fair themed of course – a live Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and thousands of lights. The Festival of Lights will be a drive-thru event along the paths and roadways of the fairgrounds. We will be working with local businesses and organizations such to turn the Fairgrounds into a “winter wonderland.”
