Santa Maria Valley Historical Society Museum
Established in September 1955, the Santa Maria Valley Historical Society serves as a center for collecting, conserving, interpreting, and researching the history of the people of the Santa Maria Valley. Its mission is to make this knowledge accessible to the community through the Santa Maria Valley Historical Museum. The society has digitally preserved over 12,000 photos and 8,000 obituaries, providing an invaluable resource for members, visitors, and anyone interested in local history or genealogy. By combining education, preservation, and community engagement, the Historical Society offers a meaningful connection to the region’s past.
