Orcutt Community Theater

Orcutt Community Theater was incorporated in 2017 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, “to enhance the community of Orcutt by presenting live theater productions of the highest possible quality” and encourage “volunteer participants of varied ages, talents and experience.”

O*C*T opened with an ambitious musical in January 2018, Miracle at Bedford Falls, directed by the group’s President, Dixie Arthur. A comedy followed in April, Mama Won’t Fly directed by David Campbell, also a board member. Both shows were performed at the drama room at Righetti High School as the group looks for other venues, and a more permanent location.

A murder-mystery dinner-show fundraiser at the Presbyterian Church on Patterson in Orcutt will be held in July 2018.

The 2018-2019 season includes the musical Into the Woods, the thriller Sleuth, the dramatic Elephant Man, and a radio show, Vintage Hitchcock.

Membership in the organization, plus ticketing, auditions, and other information as available may be found at their website, <OrcuttCommunityTheater.com>.

Dixie Arthur may be reached at 805-937-3738.
