Highway 1

Santa Maria is centrally located, about 170 miles north of Los Angeles and 270 miles south of San Francisco, making it an ideal stop on a Highway 1 adventure. Highway 1 is a scenic drive, taken northward it leads you through several small towns eventually connecting with 101 just past Pismo Beach.
