Mango maple, corn, rose petal and tequila are just some of the more than 50 flavors of ice cream and desserts offered at La Tradicional Ice Cream Shop, located at 1131 W. Main Street in Santa Maria.
Made in the Mexican style, these house-crafted treats, which also include popsicles, fruit cocktails, fresh juices and more, come in exotic flavors as well as tried and true favorites like strawberries ‘n cream, cookies ‘n cream, chocolate and vanilla.
The business sources its high-quality ingredients from local farms whenever possible and also uses fruit from Mexico that’s not easy to find here.
Owner Jorge Chavez says that he is opening up a second location later in the spring at the College Square strip mall in Santa Maria. Hurra por el helado!
