Presqu’ile: An Afternoon With the Shorty Foundation Performers
We are pleased to be featuring students from New Orleans’ Trombone Shorty Foundation live in the Presqu’ile tasting room! The Trombone Shorty Foundation’s mission is to inspire the next generation of talented, yet underserved musicians through music education, instruction, mentorship, and performance. By honoring the New Orleans tradition of “playing it forward” from the earliest jazz legends onward, the foundation seeks to preserve and perpetuate the musical heritage of a city where music is everything.
Riverbench Vineyard Easter Egg Hunt
Our Easter Egg Hunt has become very popular since we started hosting the annual event in 2008. Over 2,000 eggs are hidden in the garden surrounding our vineyard tasting room in the Santa Maria Valley. The eggs are filled with candy for the kids and some special prizes for their parents, including coupons for Riverbench hats, shirts and hoodies. Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center: Community Talk on the Dunites
The Dunites were society dropouts living in the Oceano dunes in the 1930s and 1940s. Hike Leader Jim Avila will talk and show some pictures of their life in the dunes. Hear some stories and learn what makes them unusual and memorable.
