Libation – a Summertime Soiree & Fundraiser @ Dunes Center
Come support the Santa Maria Valley’s beloved Dunes Center at “Libation” — a 1920s-themed soiree and fundraiser happening on June 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Event proceeds will go toward bolstering The Dunes Center’s educational programming, exhibits and events that showcase and preserve the extraordinary biodiversity of the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes. Funds also help The Dunes Center unearth artifacts buried in the nearby sand that were left after movie director Cecil B. DeMille finished filming his 1923 silent film, “The Ten Commandments.” The soiree will feature live music by the Tipsy Gypsies; hors d’oeurves; a no-host bar; live auction; and museum tours. Period attire of the 1920s is encouraged.
