In the heart of Santa Maria Valley, you’ll find the charming, walkable streets of Old Town Orcutt.

Founded at the height of oil production in the early 1900s, Orcutt became a center for trade and shipping. Today, it appeals to locals and visitors alike as the perfect place to eat, drink, and shop. With five tasting rooms, eclectic boutiques, art galleries and special events that happen year-round, Orcutt is a small-town cultural hub in the Santa Maria Valley.

Throughout the year, every First Friday of the month, shops keep their doors open past normal business hours to welcome anyone looking to kick off their weekend Santa Maria Style. Restaurants and bars often run drink specials, and the avenue out front is an idyllic place to meander while the sun sets over the rolling hills. In the fall, the annual family-friendly Chalk Festival transforms Old Town Orcutt into a gallery of vibrant street murals. On Labor Day weekend, Tour & Taste of the Valley, a wine country cycling, run and wine tasting event, hosts over 50 booths including wineries, breweries, artisans and live music. This event combines a 50k or 100k ride and 5k or 10k run. Old Town Orcutt also hosts several car shows including the Bent Axles show in July and the All Ford Show in September.

Beginning around Memorial Day weekend, the Santa Maria Wine Trolley runs through the summer and makes two convenient stops in Old Town before heading out to the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail.

No matter when you visit, Old Town Orcutt, a staple of the Santa Maria Valley, is where you can count on being treated like family, and where you can experience a weekend getaway with a hometown feeling.
