City of Santa Maria Recreation & Parks: Drive-Thru Boo Trick-Or-Treating

Join the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department for Drive-thru Boo! Trick-or-Treating through the one-mile loop around Preisker Park on Thursday, October 29th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. While maintaining social distancing, kids will receive a Halloween treat from various local businesses while they experience a family friendly Halloween themed event.

Virtual Downtown Fridays & Concerts In The Park

Downtown Fridays and Concerts in the Park is back again this Friday, October 23rd, and will broadcast live bands over 8 Facebook pages; Including Mega Hits 97.1, DowntownFridays, and City Santa Maria Rec & Parks. English Bands will play from 6 – 7 pm and Spanish Bands will play from 7 – 8 pm. You will also be able to pick up food from a number of Downtown Fridays Food trucks spaced throughout the Downtown from Alvin to Cook Streets every Friday from 5 – 8:30 pm. This Friday we will feature the band Joe Daddy!

Naughty Oak: Halloween Weekend Costume Contest and Día de los Muertos Party

Come in Friday to try Naughty Oak’s Halloween-inspired beer, Peaches the Killer Clown. This Peach Ring Golden Ale is so delicious it will kill you. Friday night (Oct. 30th) eats brought to you by The Shift Food Truck. They start slinging their burgers at 5 pm until sell out. Saturday night (Oct. 31st), will feature Beachwalk BBQ, and Sunday (Nov. 1st) NO will bust out Micheladas and nurse your Halloween hangovers with the perfect cure; Feed My Seoul’s delicious bowls. Naughty Oak’s Day of the Dead celebration starts at noon.

Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center: The Squirrel Game

Test your sense of smell with this squirrel game! Some squirrels can smell food that is buried a foot under snow! In this game you will use your sense of smell to tell which items are food and which aren’t. Play with friends or family and see who would make the best ground squirrel!
