For Clarissa Nagy, winemaking has surpassed a passion. She is determined, and she has prioritized the wine experience for whoever decides to sip one of her delicately made wines. Her winemaking journey in the Santa Maria Valley came as a pleasant surprise in the early 2000s. The Santa Maria Valley’s unique climate blended perfectly with her love for wine, and she has since focused on perfecting her Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc.
As if taken out of a winemaking romance novel, she met her husband while working the vineyards and they sealed their marriage with a barrel of 2002 Viognier as a wedding favor. Since then, she continued her winemaking journey and now has her own tasting room.
Her attention to detail and the pursuit of true quality wines have made Clarissa a recognized winemaker in the Santa Maria Valley. A true winemaking couple, Clarissa and her husband continue to create wonderful combinations of elegant and sophisticated styles from fruit exclusively from the Santa Maria Valley.
